Where can you own and use silencers/suppressors for hunting purposes?

The American Suppressor Association released a great visual map of where silencers/suppressors are legally allowed to be owned by civilians and where you can use them for hunting purposes. See below map:

You too can use a silencer for hunting purposes or for hearing protection reasons if you live in one of the 42 states that are shown in red above.  To do this you can purchase one of our ATF Approved National Gun Trusts below.  What is left?  You will need to fill out the ATF Form 4 and the Responsible Person's Questionnaire for any active member in your gun trust, this typically is the settlor and any co-trustee.  You can the ATF Form 4 walk-through guide here.
